Jeannie Chesser, a Florida born surfer who has lived in Hawaii for most of her life, is fighting cancer.  She has been deeply involved with the surfing community both as a surfer, an artist focusing on surf images, and as the mother of a professional surfer.  Jeannie was US Champ in 1992.  Proceeds from the benefit will help Jeannie Chesser in her current battle with Merkel Cell Carcinoma and the Defend Oahu Coalition, which is an organization that Jeannie supports.

The benefit was an amazing success and raised over $26,000.  Thank you to everyone who participated!  The highest auction item was the acoustic guitar donated by Jack Johnson.  We’ll post some pictures in a few days!
